Idaho Tennis Association Tennis Clinics

Idaho Tennis Association (the Idaho District of the United States Tennis Association (USTA), the national governing body for the sport of tennis) will be offering skills and drills clinics for adults on-court at Ann Morrison, with help from local professional tennis instructors, club pros, and college teams. Idaho Wheelchair Tennis Association will also coordinate up-down exhibition play. And QuickStart junior tennis instructors will be on hand throughout the event in the Youth Zone to showcase IDTA’s premier family-friendly summer tennis program, Tennis 101.

Tennis 101 teaches the basic concepts and strokes of the game quickly and easily in a fun, active and encouraging group environment. During Tennis 101 sessions, parents play on a court with other adults while their kids play on a court next to their parents with other kids. The kids use modified “QuickStart” equipment (smaller racquets and foam balls) which make tennis more fun and successful. For more information about these low-cost clinics which run from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturdays from June 5 through September 25, visit www.idtennis.com.
