Brett Adler has over 15 years experience in a wide variety of areas, including project management, business administration, event planning, fundraising, sales, marketing, media relations, and volunteer recruitment. Brett is an active member of the Boise community. He currently serves as the Chair of Boise Young Professionals and is the immediate past chair of BYP’s Community & Civic Involvement Work Team. Brett is on the Board of Directors of the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce and Idaho Smart Growth. He is a recipient of the Idaho Business Review’s 2007 Accomplished Under 40 Award and is a graduate of the Boise Police Department’s Citizen Police Academy and the Idaho State Bar’s Citizens Law Academy programs. Brett also manages the event finances of the Sawtooth Music Festival in Stanley, Idaho, which has been successfully produced for 5 years.

As Festival Director, Brett directs the overall vision of Boise Rec Fest and manages the leadership team. He is the public spokesperson for the festival. Brett works with the leadership team to organize the event and manage the event budget. He also manages relationships with partners and sponsors.

Bemoni is the Food & Beverage Manager at Bogus Basin Mountain Recreational Area and manages the hospitality at the annual Sawtooth Music Festival.

As Concessions and Hospitality Director, Bemoni is responsible for the layout and distribution of food, beverages, beer and wine to attendees, volunteers, performers, media, exhibitors, activity & workshop leaders, VIP’s and the leadership team.

Barbara is a certified public accountant with over 20 years of experience in public accounting. She works with non-profit organizations in the area of accounting, taxation and bookkeeping on a regular basis. Her clients include small businesses, individuals and non-profit organizations. Barbara also teaches various classes for groups, Community Education and Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce.

As Finance Director of Boise Rec Fest and Treasurer of Idaho Rec Connection, Inc. (the organization behind Boise Rec Fest), Barbara oversees and reports on the financial affairs of the festival. Her responsibilities include bookkeeping, bank account reconciliations, fund allocations and reports to management. She will work with our bank partner to oversee and manage the handling of money during the festival. And she will prepare Idaho Rec Connection’s Federal and State taxes.

Leif is the Aquatic Invasive Species and Environmental Manager for Clean Lakes, Inc., which specializes in aquatic management and restoration services. Leif is very active in the green community in Boise. He is currently the Advocacy and Public Policy Chair and Board Member for the US Green Building Council - Idaho Chapter, a Board Member for the Land Trust of the Treasure Valley, and serves on the Energy Efficiency and Conservation task force with the Idaho Strategic Energy Alliance. Leif has major event experience from working three seasons in production at the Gorge Amphitheater.

As Green Co-Director, Leif will help create and implement plans to make the festival be park and earth-friendly and organize programs to educate festival attendees. He will recruit volunteers and organizations to help with efforts during the festival. And he will act as the liaison between Leave No Trace, Tread Lightly, Stay on Trails and other relevant organizations.

Ashley is the Public Affairs Practice Group Leader for Red Sky Public Relations. She serves on the Urban Land Institute Idaho District Council Executive Board, the Young Leaders Executive Board, and chairs the District Policy & Practice Group. Ashley is a member of the Idaho and American Planning Associations, a member of the Leadership Boise Class of 2009-2011, and belongs to Boise Young Professionals. She was a recipient of the Idaho Business Review’s Accomplished Under Forty award in 2008, and was recognized in 2009 in the IBR’s Women of the Year program

As Fundraising Director, Ashley manages the fundraising efforts for Boise Rec Fest, including sponsorships, donations, grants, memberships, events, raffles, auctions and more.

Hannah is a Public Policy Associate with the Idaho Education Association. She also serves as the President of the Idaho Education Association Staff Organization and recently ended her 4 year term as Secretary/Treasurer for the Idaho Center for Assistive Technology.

As Secretary of Idaho Rec Connection, Inc. (the organization behind Boise Rec Fest), Hannah is the record keeper of all board meetings and oversees all corporate records, including the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.

Chris is a State Certified Real Estate Appraiser in the State of Idaho and the owner of Boise Valley Appraisal Services. Boise Valley Appraisal specializes in appraising residential properties throughout Southwest Idaho. Chris has been practicing real estate appraisal for 10 years.

As one of the original inspirations behind Boise Rec Fest, and as an avid paddle captain, camp cook and skier, Chris will help ensure we remain true to the original spirit and intent of the festival.

Jimsi is the Catering Manager and Event Specialist at Open Table Boise. She also works for The Linen Building as the Sunday Market Operations Manager and provides assistance in Corporate Event Sales. Jimsi serves as the Chair of Boise Young Professional’s Events and Networking Work Team and serves Opera Idaho as a Board Member and their Special Events Chair. Her experience includes planning, volunteer management and coordinating the day of operations of small to large fundraisers, special events and golf outings for organizations such as the Ada County Association of Realtors, Boise Young Professionals, Women’s Council of Realtors and Opera Idaho.

As Merchandise Director, Jimsi is responsible for ordering and selling festival merchandise, including online, at pre-festival events, at other merchants, and at Boise Rec Fest.

Molly has worked as a legal counselor to small and medium-sized business for the past 13 years, and is a Managing Member of Richardson & O’Leary, PLLC. In addition, she serves on the Governing Council of the Business & Corporate Law Section of the Idaho State Bar and on the statewide advisory council of the Idaho Small Business Development Center, and serves as a volunteer instructor on business legal issues for the monthly “Business Fundamentals” workshop presented by the Treasure Valley Chapter of S.C.O.R.E. Her clients run the gamut from small, mom & pop-style family businesses to Inc. 500 companies.

As Legal Director, Molly manages the legal matters of Boise Rec Fest and Idaho Rec Connection, Inc. (the organization behind Boise Rec Fest). Molly drafts, reviews, approves and maintains all of the corporation's contracts and insurance policies.

Brett holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communication, has over 20 years of experience in printing, advertising, and design, and has won several industry awards. He is the owner and creative director of Magnuson Design, a company he began in 1998, which specializes in identity and brand development, collateral design, advertising, websites, and all aspects of visual communication. Brett is a native Idahoan, an outdoor enthusiast and an avid mountain biker. He is currently a board member and co-chair of the marketing and membership committee of the Southwest Idaho Mountain Biking Association.

As Creative Director, Brett manages Boise Rec Fest’s branding and marketing materials including flyers, brochures, advertisements, posters, stickers, and banners.

Kelsey is an attorney at the Boise law firm, Givens Pursley. She focuses on environmental and natural resources transactions, litigation, and planning. Kelsey's green experience includes working with the US Green Building Council, the Idaho Strategic Energy Alliance, the Idaho State Bar Environment/Natural Resources Section, and the American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE).

As Co-Director of the "Greening Rec Fest" committee, Kelsey will take her enthusiasm for recycling, reducing waste, and renewable energy and combine it with her passion for fun and recreation. She will help create and implement plans to make the festival be park and earth-friendly and organize programs to educate festival attendees. She will recruit volunteers and organizations to help with efforts during the festival. Michelle is the Patient Access Services Manager at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center. Patient Access Services includes areas such as registration, financial counseling, insurance verification and authorizations. Michelle is the chair-elect of Boise Young Professional’s Community & Civic Involvement. She has led several community service projects, including the 2009 BYP Halloween Carnival and the 2009 Day of Service event. Due to her service and accomplishments, Michelle received BYP’s 2009 Young Professional of the Year Award and the 2009 BYP CCI Work Team Member of the Year award. Michelle has also been honored as one of Idaho Business Review's Idaho Women of the Year and is a recipient of Idaho Business Review's Accomplished Under 40 award.

As Volunteer Co-Director, Michelle will recruit, train and manage the volunteers needed to help with the festival and with events leading up to the festival. And Michelle will lead volunteers the day of the festival, including checking them in and out, ensuring they are doing their assigned jobs, and that volunteers are properly taken care of during the event.

TJ is the assistant manager at a national outdoor retailer in Boise and an active outdoor recreationalist. Through her work in the outdoor industry, she has contacts and relationships with many of Idaho’s outdoor oriented groups and class instructors.

As Education Director, TJ is responsible for organizing the workshops at Boise Rec Fest, including recruiting instructors, scheduling and ensuring valuable content.

Tanda is the Race Director for the St. Luke's Women's Fitness Celebration, an all ages, all abilities 5K in downtown Boise. She has experience organizing a large scale event in Ann Morrison Park, the home of Boise Rec Fest.

As an advisor, Tanda will share her experience with and provide assistance to the members of the Leadership Team.

Reneé White has more than 15 years experience designing and producing special events. Her experience includes managing the Canyon County Fair & Festival and serving as Associate Director of Events for the Boise State Alumni Association. She is currently the Event & Marketing Manager for Coolwater Creek Events (formerly Bogus Creek Outfitters & Ranch). Her passion is downhill skiing and you can find her enjoying “Paradise” on the back side of Bogus during the winter months.

As Operations Director, Reneé will coordinate all major event logistics, including safety, security, sanitation, utilities, communications, equipment, site set-up & teardown, signage, foul weather plans, and more. Reneé is the main contact for most of the festival’s vendors and she is leading the process to obtain all necessary permits and licenses.

Kimberly is an Associate Registrar at Boise State University. She oversees all student records system implementations and enhancements, reporting, classroom scheduling, and catalog development. Subsequent to earning her MBA, she has expanded on the lessons learned in the classroom with the real-world experience of implementing and managing large scale computer information systems projects. These projects require a substantial amount of planning and attention to detail.

As Exhibitor Director, Kimberly manages the exhibitor registration process prior to the event, including online registration, processing payments, tracking equipment requests and sending exhibitor packages. She will also manage and coordinate exhibitors at the event, including move in and move out.
